洛杉矶近日新冠病例激增，洛杉矶郡督查委员和洛杉矶市议员也纷纷确诊。
洛杉矶郡督查巴格 (Kathryn Barger) 4日晚间公布，她的新冠检测呈阳性，现在正在隔离中。
巴格在推文中表示，“今天我的新冠检测呈阳性。感觉像感冒，但每个人的经历都不同。我正在隔离、休息并与我所爱的人保持距离。”

同一天，洛杉矶第四区市议员拉曼（Nithya Raman）也宣布，她的新冠病毒检测呈阳性。
拉曼介绍，“我很高兴能够接种疫苗并接种了加强针，因为我知道否则我的情况会更糟。”
她还鼓励那些尚未接种疫苗的民众进行预约接种。

巴格和拉曼检测呈阳性的消息传出之际，洛杉矶郡的新冠确诊病例和住院人数激增。
根据加州的统计数据，截至本周二（4日），洛杉矶郡医院共有 2240 名新冠患者，并还报告了 2 万1790 例新病例。
