经历了感恩节周末的狂风暴雨后，国家气象局本周提醒南加民众应为即将来临的更多降雨做好准备。
国家气象局公布，从西部席卷而来的大气河流，从中央海岸向南加州移动，将给莫罗湾地区带来4英寸的降雨。风暴将于周三（4日）抵达洛杉矶，虽强度有所减弱。但也将给洛杉矶郡的大部分地区带来中到大雨。

根据国家气象局的数据，预计洛杉矶地区大部分区域总降雨量为1至2英寸，圣盖博山脉的降雨量可能高达3英寸。个别地区的降雨速度可能达到每小时半英寸，导致山火区域被冲刷。
此次风暴不会像上周那样带来大幅度降温，但也会给海拔高的山区带来降雪。民众仍应当注意保暖和驾车安全。
尽管狂风暴雨来临，但是国家跨部门消防中心本月1日发布报告警告说，虽然连续的降雨使南加火灾危险降低至正常水平，但是如果再有圣塔安娜焚风，加州仍有一些干旱区域面临山火威胁。
